1898 Franklin Motorcycle on Display

  • Skagit County Historical Museum 501 South 4th Street La Conner, WA, 98257 United States (map)

It’s a Franklin! Made in Mount Vernon

This poster is from the original exhibit of the 1898 Franklin Motorcycle

The Franklin Motorcycle is on continuous exhibit at the Museum

Manufacturered by Franklink Iron Works of Mount Vernon, this bike has been fully restored. Photo is of the motorcycle prior to restoration.

The original exhibit included vintage motorcycles on loan from the Washington Vintage Motorcyclists and other vintage motorcycle collectors from throughout the region; those motorcycles are no longer on display (just the Franklin).

Read about the the original exhibit from 2014 in GoSkagit, and a Facebook post from 2023.
